The Team Converts...

Been hearing this a lot: "Team Jacob - cause he looks better half naked".

Ouch. Although I sorta agree. Couldn't they have given Edward/Rob a chest wax? Sure some girls dig hairy chests...I'm just not one of them. I heard a few "ewwws" at the premiere screening in Auckland. It was sad! As much as I love Taylor and his awesome abs, I don't want Edward to be beaten out by Jacob! NO!

So come on Rob - opt in for a chest wax. LOL. So superficial, but what a difference it makes to the storyline - doesn't it make it more understandable why Bella would love Edward (apart from not being able to choose who you love) over Jake?

Oh well - I'm one who can learn to deal. I just hope there's no more "ewws"...imagine if all the Rob lovers just suddenly became Taylor lovers....and people going to see the film hoping that Bella would choose Jacob.

*sighs* and rant over.

Close Up on the New Moon Film Set

Close Up have an interview segment with the cast of New Moon.
When Close Up presenter Mark Sainbury said "Werewolves - bare-chested beefcakes...." I started PMSL. It's just not something you'd expect him to say....hehe.

I don't think this is Close Up exclusive..it *may* be taken from odd interviews...I really don't know, I haven't been watching much behind the scenes New Moon stuff cause I just think it will ruin the movie if I think about it too much - you know my expectations could possibly set me up for a downfall.

Interviews with Rob, Kristen, Taylor, Dakota and Michael Sheen.

Kristen: "objectively from the outside she (Bella) should be with Jacob. She's best friends with him, he's warm and it's easy, there's no problems there. But you can't always take the easy way."

Taylor: "It just depends on your type...if you believe in love at first sight and seeing that mysterious man on the corner, then alright, join Team Edward."

Rob: "Edward is much more of a worrier. Not a warrior, a worrier (laughs) and Jacob isn't."

Rob just cracks me up with his aloofness. He just comes off as a big dork to me. Perhaps that's his charm?

Rob, Kristen and Taylor on Campbell Live

TV3's Kate Rodgers got to interview Rob, Kristen and Taylor in LA recently.

Not since Harry Potter have we seen a book series as popular - 52 weeks at the top of the New York bestsellers list and counting.

Unlike Potter though, we have far more hormones at play here. Twilight fans are passionate ones, as are a good many of their mothers.

Much of that passion is centred on a Vampire, played in the films by British actor Robert Pattinson.

Just the mere mention of Pattinson's name is enough to throw legions of Twilight fans into a breathless swoon. The fact he plays a vampire doesn't seem to lessen his appeal, in fact, as with his Twilight girlfriend Bella, it only appears to add to it.

Reflecting the hype for the movie, the marketing junket juggernaut for New Moon is enormous, and it seems everyone wants a bite of Edward Cullen.

So what is it about this Edward Cullen that has us all in a lather?

"I guess his strengths are, he's very humble, I guess that's also his weakness as well, the more he falls in love with Bella, the more he sees her as a vision of perfection and doesn't feel worthy of her at all.

"He's such an enigma in the books, such a blank canvas, people can project what they want."

New Moon is the young Brit's second Twilight, and since the first he's been fan-mobbed akin to the Beatles. The sequel will only up the fan ante.

"You just always have to remember what or if there is a reason to be doing what you're doing," says Pattinson. "I still find I have a reason, which I can't really express, ha ha.

"It doesn't make me unhappy. There are times when it's really annoying, but I guess that's the only time you really have to change, with the fame and all that stuff, it's not too bad."

For those of you who have been living under a rock and perhaps haven't heard of the Twilight story, it's the tale of a normal self-possessed young girl called Bella, and her love affair with a Vampire.

In the sequel New Moon, things get a little more complicated. Pattinson isn't the only cause for palpitations in the film.

We have in the Vampire corner Team Edward, while in the Werewolf corner, Team Jacob.

Adding more throb to the heart of this new Twilight story is Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, Bella's other man.

"Jacob is light, he cares about her (Bella), she just wants to be herself and have fun, so different to what she experiences with Edward," says Kristen Stewart who plays Bella.

"I love they start out as best friends, it grows into something more," says Lautner. "They are both good for Bella, protect her, loyal to her, just a question of left or right."

Jacob also enjoys howling at the moon, and has issues with vampires.

"It required me to go to some deep dark places," says Lautner of his role as Jacob. "The best thing I did was know the books inside out, because that's what the fans want to see."

So is Lautner getting the same treatment from fans that his co-star's are getting?

"We're travelling the world right now," he says. "Everywhere we go we same number of passionate fans, it's comforting, if we were making these films without them it would be a little scary."

But it's really Vampire Cullen who is the ying to Bella's yang, a ying-yang the tabloids would have us believe is reflected in the real world.

Stewart may or may not be Pattinson's girlfriend - a question expressly forbidden to be asked of either of them during these interviews - but she was certainly prepared to put her body on the line for this movie.

"I stepped on a rock, a part of the movie I wasn't even in, I stepped on a rock and sprained my ankle," says Stewart.

New Moon opens in New Zealand next week and more than 30,000 fans have already pre-booked tickets, and a good many have been busted hugging Edward Cullen posters in cinema lobbies.

And just for the record? Yes he is that hot in the flesh. Go Team Edward.

well, I thought I'd start updating my blog with some magazine articles and clippings I've accumulated over the past few or so weeks.

I'm absolutely disappointed that they didn't have a page for Jackson?! I find that most mags and what-nots always leave Jackson out - whhhhyy?! Jasper is a Cullen too you know! okay so he's a Hale but same diff!

alrighty-o...I realy wan't going to post it cause lets face it Taylor's love life is none of our business...I'm sorry even saying that, I can't help but care =P
Since Lainey Gossip's peeps have snapped Taylor and Selena together twice now, I think I'll post!

This cuteness… it’s killing me.

I was the first to tell you about Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez last week – now more exclusive details about their adorable weekend date.

Saturday night: they had dinner at the Cactus Club in Coquitlam, emerged in great spirits, both with big smiles on their faces, Selena held on to Taylor’s arm. At one point, after they had become separated and she fell behind to sign autographs, she ran back up to join him, throwing her arms around his neck, both bursting into giggles.

I'm wondering what everyone else thinks? They do make a cute couple. They have the same big smile - I don't know if it's a good or bad thing *raises eyebrow*
Taylor has definitely come a long way...that's for sure!

Gosh, what it must be like to live in Vancouver right now!
Vancity Allie was at the Sage performance at Metropole last night where Nikki, Kristen and Taylor were chillin' to the sounds.
This is what Allie had to say:

"Sage from the Dills was awesome! She had a great voice,
both chill and uptempo songs, and her song “Dawn” was great… it should really
make it into New Moon! Unfortunately her guitar broke at the beginning of the
show so she had to borrow the opening performer’s guitar."

"I asked her
if I could take photos of my show and she said that was cool. Nikki Reed herself
came out and sat right in front for half the show to take photos of her friend,
support her music, take videos, and dance along to the music. What a great
friend! They were talking/shouting to each other during the show the entire
time, and Nikki was giving song suggestions."

"Near the end of the
night, Sage serenaded and sang to Taylor. It was really cute. Taylor looked very
casual and cool in a plaid shirt, distressed jeans, and rockin’ plaid
sneakers."

memory lane time. haha. I remember seeing this video that features Taylor Lautner for One Republic's song Apologise a while back. And at the time I couldn't stop giggling. But now, to think how far he has come, it's like just WOW. still a tiny bit corny though I have to admit :p but since it was done ages ago, we'll let it slide

Robert Pattinson was supposed to present at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. Instead, Twilight was represented by Taylor Lautner. They are trying their best to make him a star. To give Pattinson a challenge, if this is possible. Twi-hard losers seem pretty keen on the Open Mouthed One. More on him later. For now, let’s help with Taylor’s cause. Photos attached of Taylor on the carpet for Nickelodeon and also arriving back in Vancouver on Sunday night to shoot again this week.

Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart was joined by her BF Michael Angarano and her BFF Nikki Reed on Sunday. Here they are coming from late lunch. Interestingly enough, a short while after their meal, Nikki was spotted heading over to Rob’s. She stayed at his place a few hours, then they went out and hooked up with some friends…

Is it just me, or is Michael Angarano looking a bit like Rob? I mean the sunnies look oddly familiar...That's all I'm going to say on this topic.

Summit officially confirm the Wolf Pack

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT RUNS WITH THE WOLF PACK IN THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOONChaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman to Star as Members of Wolf Pack Los Angeles, CA March 23, 2009 — Summit Entertainment announced today that Native American/First Nation actors Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman have signed on to star as the members of the wolf pack in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. In the film, the wolf pack defends humans against vampires although they have a tribal history intricately entwined with Edward Cullen and his family. The wolf pack members will join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and fellow wolf pack member Taylor Lautner in the film directed by Chris Weitz which will be released domestically November 20, 2009.

Each member of the wolf pack is of Native decent. Spencer is Lakota (Sioux), Pelletier is Cree-Metis, Meraz is Purepecha (Tarasco), Gordon is Hualapai, and Houseman, who was discovered at an open casting call, is Cree. Casting of the wolf pack was overseen by award-winning casting director Rene Haynes who is well-known for her work on Native projects ranging from DANCES WITH WOLVES to BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE.

it's also realy awesome to note that 3 million copies o f Twilight was sold on the first day of release! That's in the States alone right? Wait til it's released in other countries. I know HEAPS of people buying more than one copy hehehe

Wolf Pack named!

Remember none (apart from the obvious) of these have actually been confirmed by the big bosses at Summit, so basically it's speculation at this point. Although since some of them have been photographed with Taylor Lautner and Chris Weitz, I think it's pretty safe to say they're part of the cast...

oh so Tyson is Quil....yep I think that would do. Although Tyson is not how I imagined Quil, but I think I can imagine him playing with Claire :)

And I still wish Solomon Trimble was Sam, he had this wise maturity about him which was great for Sam. But I'm sure they cast Chaske Spencer for a reason too.

Lainey Gossip has done it again...

first pictures of what looks like the New Moon wolf pack! I'm so excited! I can't believe they thought Bronson Pelletier (in red) was Oliver James, he looks nothing like Oliver James. OK maybe he does a little, but not enough. Obviously unconfirmed as yet, but I'm telling you it's Bronson and not Oliver. I wish Oliver James was in New Moon...*drool* and it's assumed that the beanied guy is Alex Meraz

I'm quietly saddened that most of the cast are smoking..but to each their own. We can't all be non-smokers.
